Why do it?
Because I can. Why shouldn't I then?
I think its fasinating that the PowerBook 3400c can do all the things I've gotten it to do. Even after numerous people told me it couldn't. The more I prod into this computer, the more I further I want to upgrade it.
Just think, when this computer shipped in early 1997, System 7.6 was king, FireWire didn't exist, USB wasn't popular, nobody knew what an MP3 was, the Internet was finally taking off, the last 68k Mac (the PowerBook 190) had been gone for only a few months, and the fastest Mac was powered by a PowerPC 604, equivelant to a G2.
Now fastforward to late 2003, and recognize all of the technologies I have force fed into my 3400c. My iPod works automatically syncs with my 3400c, internet streaming radio is excellent and clear, and I can sit down at any Starbucks and start surfing the internet with no wires at all!
