iPod

What better dream than to have my favorite Apple device and favorite Apple laptop working together? Too bad the device is a 10gb, second generation iPod, and the laptop is a 1997 era PowerBook 3400c right? Wrong!

This was the biggest achievement, I would say. EVERYBODY that I asked about it said it couldn't be done. I mean, admit it, that sounds ridiculous right?

Well after my long arduous procedure with gettin FireWire CardBus card to work in a non-CardBus PCMCIA slot, I got my iPod working with my 3400c:

The iPod automatically launches iTunes when connected (as it should) and also mounts on the desktop as a FireWire disk, which can be used to store files other than Mp3 files. How exciting!

The iPod is a 10gb second gen iPod. I used the install CD that came with the iPod to install the software as normally. It all works just great!
