Gaming on Hooper
The PowerBook 3400c plays older games great, and can kind of put up with some newer games (sortof). I've also found that many games that "require" the early G3 processors (233 - 266mhz) actually do install just fine on the 3400c. The Sims and Tropico are good examples of this, and some other Apps I have installed are too.
Railroad Tycoon II
This game is kindof graphically intense, but is playable on the 3400c. It is one of my favorite games, but requires a lot of RAM. Big maps load slow.
The Sims
I installed The Sims and several expansion packs, up to the Sims Vacation (the last expanstion pack supported by the 3400c). The Sims loads very very slowly and plays slowly as well, but is playable once it gets going. This game requires the most RAM, and is too much to leave Virtual Memory switched off (which probably doesnt help).
Caesar III
This game plays great, runs speedily and is fun too.
Roller Coaster Tycoon
This game was never released for Macintosh. I have to play this game on the Windows 95 emulator (see Windows 95 section). It plays slowest of all the games, although does start up and can be played if you really wanted. Reducing the resolution to 640 x 480 speeds up the game. At 800 x 600 it is completely unplayable due to speed. See pic below.

Tropico
This game plays slow, but plays. Making smaller islands will help speed up the game. Is supposed to require a G3 but installs and runs fine on 3400c.
Civilization - Call to Power
This game plays great, and is very addicting, as are all the rest of the Civilization Games.
SimCity 3000
Runs fine, perfectly playable, if not a little slow at times. Seems to be speed up and slow down I don't know why this is.
